We know that trail rides can be exciting and a little adventurous. To provide you with some more guidance for what to expect, we’ve prepared some FAQs to help answer all of your questions. Don’t see what you’re looking for? Contact us
Can children come on a ride?
Children over 10 years of age, riding with at least 1 parent, will be considered in a private booking only, not on an Open group ride.
Please contact us on 0447 224 473 to discuss prior to making any booking for a child (under 18 years).
Can I choose which trail to ride?
Absolutely. You can also chat with Charlotte to discuss the sort of trails you prefer and she can suggest the most appropriate trails for you and your group.
For example, would you like nice open tracks or some twisting dense forest trails; some challenging hills or more gentle terrain; yes/no to water crossings. We are very fortunate to have so many to choose from and look forward to sharing them with you.
How much riding experience do I need?
We can cater to any level of trail experience as our private rides are tailored to your needs. You set the pace and challenge level. There are two guides with each group who can assist you if you need it.
If you are joining one of our Open Group rides you need to be confident at walk, trot and controlled canter. Our "confidence booster" rides are at a walk only pace and suitable for those with basic riding abilities.
Please contact us on 0447 22 44 73 to discuss.
So if it's a quiet wander to build your confidence out of the arena, or a more challenging adventure – the reins are in your hands.
Do I need my own horse?
Yes, you do. Our experiences are specifically tailored to riders who have their own horse, and are all about deepening that special connection and building trust.
How early should I get there?
All the specific ride details, including arrival time will be sent to you a few days before your ride. Usual arrival time is 9:30am, riding out at 10:30am after morning tea and our pre-ride talk but this may vary depending on your booking.
How long do the rides go for?
Our "confidence booster rides" are approx 2-2.5hrs saddle time.
Our monthly open rides will be around 3hrs hours riding time.
Private rides can be booked to suit your requests.
There is time to prepare before the ride, then after we come back to the floats, tea/coffee/ snacks will be served as we chat about our experiences on the trail.
If you'd like to plan a full day on the trail, please contact us to discuss.
What times are the rides?
We suggest arriving 9:00am - 9:30am, riding out by 10:30am.
However, you can start at whatever time you wish on a private ride. You may prefer an afternoon ride - just select the time when you book or contact us to discuss - 0447 224 473.
Where do we meet?
All these details will be sent a few days before your ride including Google map pins of the exact meeting location. We have different meet points depending on which trail you select. All are easy to find and have suitable areas for float parking.

How many guides attend each ride?
There are 2 guides with each group. A fully accredited Trail Guide (Horse Safety Australia) and an Assistant Trail Guide. Both are First Aid and CPR certified. First Aid kits are carried for any horse and human needs.
